Lorna McLaughlin is a retired Software Engineer, mother of two and grandmother of five and above all a bond servant of Jesus Christ.
Although I was a Software Engineer working in a variety of domains for 37 years, I have been interested in the visual arts my whole life. About 2003 I began to pursue art in the medium of watercolor painting. I took some classes and then laid it aside till 2022 when I decided to pursue art on a regular basis. I tried watercolor, oils and pen and ink. Then, one of my best friends, a wonderful dog portrait painter and interior designer, suggested pastels. I fell in love with their texture and color, the variety of expressive methods and their tactile nature. Even at my age, I am a work in progress, as is my art! I hope you enjoy it.
I give all praise and glory to the Creator of the Universe, the God of the Bible whose son, Jesus the Messiah, came as a human being and the world hated him. He was fully God and fully man. He came to be tempted as we were but to live a sinless life. He came to die and take the punishment due to us because of our sin, so that He could freely offer us forgiveness of our sin (grace). There is no greater love. All of my love, gratitude and love is due Him because of all He has done, is doing and will yet do.
