Excerpt: “Jesus never taught His disciples how to preach, but how to talk to God — to enter into a spiritual conversation! For Jesus, prayer was as necessary as breathing — the very breath of life itself. In the same way, Christ calls you to a life of spiritual intimacy and offers the life-giving secrets of prayer.”

I think this will be a study that will benefit everyone, regardless of how long one has been walking with the Lord. The format is perfect for anyone. You can buy the book. Don’t want to buy the book? You can read the chapters online. Don’t have time to read? Want to listen to it taught? You can listen to each chapter taught by Ray Stedman using the audio link provided online on the chapter page.
We will read the book on the schedule above and I will give out accompanying questions for thought and discussion or further study prior to the chapter(s) to be read so you can keep them in mind as you read/listen. Every week I will be asking you to pray before studying/listening to ask the Lord to give you spiritual insights that will build your faith and/or increase your knowledge of Him. You may share these insights with the group as you feel led to do so.
If you do not do the read the assigned chapter(s) for a particular week, please still come to the study as the discussion is always helpful and exhorting, or if you only read/listened to the chapters but did not answer the questions, don’t worry, the Lord will give you insights as the discussion unfolds. The point is to have a heart that is seeking God; seeking to know him better and more deeply. That is what our study is to be aimed at: God himself!
Let’s learn about Him who has redeemed us and loves us with an incomprehensible love!!
